In 2004, our volunteers (made up of local professionals, musicians, business people, youth and teachers) got together and formed the OSA Performing Arts, an after-school program. It began in response to call from the community to deal with the race-on-race violence between two rival gangs.
Thanks to an arts grant from the City of Carson, we were able to purchase additional instruments for the children. The Performing Arts include cultural dancing, music instruction, singing, and theatrical presentation.
